On the road during the last 40 years, guitar player Duca Belintani released his eighth solo album, named “Electric Delta”.

In 2019, Duca Belintani took the road in a car adventure to cross what he names in Portuguese “A Trilha do Blues” or the “The Blues Trail” in a literal translation. From Chicago, going down to New Orleans and stopping in each place it seemed to have a good blues vibration. It could be a bar on the side of the road, Juke Joints, music studios, etc. The objective was to listen to good music and talk with great people, all in the name of the traditional Blues.

 

It was in Mississippi that Duca’s personal identification and “fellow feeling” came along. It was there that Duca felt comfortable to totally surrender in heart and soul to the magic of the Mississippi Delta songs. At this moment he felt like a dream was coming true while his first guitar accords were played in the legendary blues house “Blue Front Cafe” in Bentonia.

The Mississippi Delta song brings in its origin the solitary musician playing in Juke Joints aiming to bring happiness and joy to his audience, and it was exactly like that , that Duca was filling while playing on his music to an audience in the same way it was made since a long time ago by the Blues legends.

Coming back home, in Brazil, Duca took the decision that his next project would have the “footprint” of this experience and with a special look on Mississippi. The inspiration for this new album would be mainly the blues legends LR Burnside and Muddy Waters.

 

In this eighth registry of his career, Duca has electrified all the Blues swing inspired by Mississippi, delivering the “Electric Delta” album as a result of this extraordinary experience.
